Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works
that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I
go to the Father. Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the
Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will
do it. "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. I will ask the
Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with
you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive,
because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides
with you and will be in you. (John 14:12-17 NASB)
How can we stand by and not believe this statement?
"he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do..."
But we don't. We discount the works of the Holy Spirit...or think "it's not for me. Why would He use me?" But He does & He will!!
"...but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong," (1 Corinthians 1:27 NASB)
So therefore...
"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds," (Hebrews 10:23, 24 NASB)
How can we stand by and not believe this statement?
